INTERIOR RENOVATION
This more traditional home in Riverdale needed an update and much a more functional (and beautiful) kitchen. Instead of removing all the walls that are needed for cabinetry to sit on, we maintained the walls of the galley kitchen and created a pass through to help filter light and visibility throughout the space. Creative cabinetry solutions in an incredible navy combined with a marble look porcelain slab and brass accents add a contemporary flair to the classic elements. Custom cabinetry houses our client’s stunning collections and keeps things organized in the adjacent dining room while the banquette seating and offset dining table keep the narrow area feeling spacious.
We swapped out an existing closet under the stairs for a compact powder room finished off with pretty wallpaper and fixtures. A large, custom armoire at the front entry helps separate the living room from the entrance and provides the storage we lost when taking over the under stair closet. Stunning cement tiles bordered by a rich hardwood finish off the foyer. Our clients’ beautiful artwork, antiques and unique sense of style continue into the living room with more pops of colour and brass! We love how this renovation turned out and hope you do too!

CLIENTS TESTIMONIAL
When I first started planning my renovation, I knew I need the help of a designer. And importantly, I needed to find one who wasn't going to make me throw out all of the beautiful antiques and heirlooms my family had gathered over the years in favour of some mid-century modern look that was nice, but just not "us”.
Working with Renée was a delight in that regard - she understood intuitively what we were trying to achieve and always knew just what to introduce into the mix to freshen up our more traditional look. It made all of our decisions so easy - the easiest part of the reno by far!
Her skill was in turning my Madlibs-esque comments into "yes!" design moments, where everything just seemed to come together effortlessly. The result is a home with a personality totally ours, classic but modern, which I am sure we will enjoy for many years to come.
